Bogor, May 21, 2026 – The Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta held a workshop on Academic and Institutional Strengthening in Bogor from May 20–22, 2026. This strategic event was attended in person by the Dean of FEB UIN Jakarta, Prof. Dr. Ibnu Qizam, M.Si., along with the faculty leadership, including the Vice Deans, Heads of Study Programs (Kaprodi), and Secretaries of Study Programs (Sekprodi).
In his opening remarks, the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) at UIN Jakarta, Prof. Dr. Ibnu Qizam, M.Si., emphasized that this workshop represents a crucial step for the faculty in formulating an academic roadmap that is adaptable to global dynamics. The presence of all program study leadership members served as a vital foundation for aligning perspectives, evaluating the curriculum, and building a much stronger faculty institutional framework.
To dissect tactical strategies for institutional quality development, FEB UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta invited a leading expert and practitioner in higher education governance, Prof. Dr. Tika Widiastuti, M.Si., who currently serves as Vice Dean I for Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, and Alumni at FEB Universitas Airlangga (Unair).

In her keynote session titled “Faculty Academic Development,” Prof. Dr. Tika Widiastuti presented a comprehensive overview of the urgency of transforming faculty governance to meet international standards. She emphasized the importance of a robust curriculum, strengthening impactful research and international publications, enhancing faculty capacity, and internationalization through global partnerships and international accreditations such as FIBAA or AACSB.
“Academic development is not merely an administrative routine, but a continuous commitment to creating a high-quality learning ecosystem. The faculty must focus on value creation, faculty recognition on the global stage, and ensuring that the curriculum taught can address the real needs of industry and society,” explained Prof. Tika Widiastuti to the workshop participants.
Over the three-day workshop, leaders within the FEB UIN Jakarta intensively formulated tactical instruments, mapped the potential for new study programs, and developed strategies for institutional strengthening based on accountable governance that supports operations.

Through the close collaboration between faculty and program heads fostered during this event, the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta is confident that it can accelerate the implementation of strategic programs, enhance academic quality, and solidify its position as one of Indonesia’s leading faculties of Islamic economics and business with an international reputation.
