To Improve Data Testing Skills, PLP FEB UIN Jakarta Holds Statistics Training for Students

Jakarta, February 26, 2026. The Integrated Laboratory Facility (PLP) of the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta successfully held a series of intensive statistics training sessions entitled “Improving Data Testing Skills.” The two-day event, held from February 24 to 25, 2026, was specifically designed to strengthen students' technical skills in processing research data.
Held at the Computer Laboratory on the 3rd floor of the FEB Building on Jalan Ibnu Sina, the training was attended by dozens of 6th semester students from various study programs. This initiative was launched in response to the needs of students who are preparing to write their final projects (theses), especially those using a quantitative research approach.
The Head of PLP FEB UIN Jakarta, Ay Maryani, explained that mastery of statistical software is the key to producing accurate and credible research.
“This activity is designed to help students complete their final projects, especially those who use quantitative methods. We want to ensure that students not only have the theory, but are also skilled in the practical operation of data testing tools,” said Ay Maryani on the sidelines of the opening ceremony.

For two days, participants received exclusive material from experts in their fields covering three popular statistical software programs, namely:
1. Eviews, presented by Rr. Tini Anggraeni, focused on econometric data analysis.
2. Stata, presented by Najwa Khairina, reviewed data management and complex statistical models.
3. SPSS, guided by Diamantin R. Aisy, provided an in-depth look at validity and reliability tests, as well as basic regression analysis.
The enthusiasm of the participants was evident in the active discussions during each laboratory session. With this training, PLP FEB UIN Jakarta hopes that students will be able to complete their studies more effectively and that their research results will have high data quality standards. (AC)
