Jakarta, October 21, 2025. The Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta held a leadership meeting attended by the dean, vice dean, program chair and secretary, head of administration, and lecturers. This weekly agenda was opened by the Dean of FEB, Prof. Dr. Ibnu Qizam, M.Si. In his remarks, the dean expressed his hope that FEB would be able to contribute to raising the international ranking of the UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta campus.

“FEB must contribute to raising the international ranking of UIN Jakarta in both QS and THE. To that end, I hope and encourage lecturers, especially those with doctoral degrees, to increase their publications and citations. Each lecturer is also required to have a Scopus ID,” said Prof. Qizam in his remarks.

The Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Sofyan Rizal, conveyed a similar message in the context of improving the academic quality of the campus. “The Dean's directive to increase publications and citations is an effort by FEB to improve the academic quality of the campus and is also part of FEB's contribution to UIN Jakarta,” added Sofyan.

In support of the Dean's directive, FEB already has several special programs, including allocating funds for article publication charges (APC), publication rewards, and lecturer mobility. Erika Amelia, Vice Dean for General Administration, said that FEB has allocated a budget to support the dean's program. “In the FEB budget for 2025 and 2026, we have allocated funds to support lecturers in increasing their publications and citations,” said Erika.

Strategic steps will be taken by FEB to realize these programs. (AC)
