JAKARTA, August 6, 2026 — The Master’s Program in Islamic Banking at the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta remains committed to improving the quality of education and global competitiveness. This commitment was demonstrated through a strategic discussion on curriculum review and enrichment with Hakan Aslan, Ph.D., an expert in Islamic economics and finance from Sakarya University in Turkey.
This warm and friendly event was held in the Dean’s Office of the FEB Building on Jalan Ibnu Sina at the UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta campus. The discussion was attended in person by faculty leadership and program coordinators, namely:
•    Dr. Sofyan Rizal, M.Si. (Vice Dean for Academic Affairs)
•    Dr. Erika Amelia, M.Si. (Vice Dean for General Administration)
•    Dr. Muhajirin, MEI (Chair of the Master’s Program in Islamic Banking)
•    Dr. Ady Cahyadi, M.Si. (Secretary of the Master’s Program in Islamic Banking)
•    Ali Rama, Ph.D. (Chair of the Islamic Economics Program)

On this occasion, Hakan Aslan, Ph.D., provided valuable input for the development of the curriculum for the Master’s Program in Islamic Banking at the Faculty of Economics and Business, UIN Jakarta. He emphasized the importance of strengthening research methodologies—both quantitative and qualitative—in the learning process for master’s students.
“A strong command of quantitative and qualitative research methodologies is fundamental to the master’s learning process. This is key for students to produce high-quality scholarly work and make tangible contributions to the development of the global Islamic finance industry,” said Hakan Aslan, Ph.D.

In addition to refining research methodologies, the discussion also focused on the importance of enhancing collaborative research activities and expanding international cooperation between the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta and various leading universities abroad, particularly Sakarya University in Turkey.
