South Tangerang, May 27, 2026 – The Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta held a sacrificial animal slaughter and distribution event on Tuesday (May 27). The event, which took place in the backyard of the FEB Building on Jalan Ibnu Sina, served as a tangible expression of social responsibility and strengthened the bonds of friendship between the academic community and the neighborhood surrounding the campus.
This year, FEB UIN Jakarta slaughtered six goats. All of the sacrificial meat was specifically allocated for FEB employees and residents living in the vicinity of Jalan Ibnu Sina.

An Expression of Gratitude and Compassion
The sacrificial animal slaughtering ceremony was led directly by the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, Prof. Dr. Ibnu Qizam, M.Si., accompanied by the Vice Deans and the Head of the General Affairs Office.
In his remarks, Prof. Ibnu Qizam delivered a profound message regarding the essence of the annual sacrifice ritual.
“Sacrifice is a form of gratitude for all the bounties bestowed by Allah SWT upon us all. This is not merely a ritual, but a moment to strengthen our unity, share happiness, and enhance our social compassion toward others, especially within the immediate campus community,” said Prof. Ibnu Qizam.

Symbolic Handover
After the slaughtering ceremony concluded, the event continued with the distribution of the sacrificial meat. To mark the start of the distribution, the Dean of FEB symbolically handed over the sacrificial meat to Mr. Parno, a representative of residents living in the vicinity of the FEB campus.
It is hoped that this event, which proceeded smoothly and solemnly, will continue to be a regular annual agenda for the FEB at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta as part of community service and the propagation of Islam, bringing blessings to all parties. (AC)
