JAKARTA, August 6, 2026 — The Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta successfully hosted an international academic event titled “Guest Lecture” on Thursday, August 6, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. WIB. The event featured a renowned Turkish academic, Mr. Hakan Aslan, Ph.D., who is an Associate Professor at Sakarya University, Türkiye.
This international event was officially opened by the Dean of FEB UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, Prof. Dr. Ibnu Qizam, M.Si., accompanied by the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Dr. Sofyan Rizal, M.Si. This interactive academic discussion was moderated by Dr. H. Ahmad Dumyathi Bashori, M.A., who is also a lecturer at the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta.

This event was specifically designed for graduate students and was attended by dozens of participants, including:
•    Students in the Master’s (S2) Program in Islamic Banking
•    Students in the Master’s (S2) Program in Islamic Economics
•    Students in the Doctoral (S3) Program in Islamic Banking
•    Faculty members of the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta
In his opening remarks, the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, Prof. Dr. Ibnu Qizam, M.Si., stated that this guest lecture series is part of FEB UIN Jakarta’s commitment to accelerating the institution’s academic reputation toward the international level (World Class University).

“This guest lecture serves as a strategic platform for broadening the scientific horizons of the graduate academic community. Collaboration with international experts such as Mr. Hakan Aslan, Ph.D., from Sakarya University is expected to enrich the perspectives of students and faculty in responding to developments in the global Islamic economics and finance landscape,” said Prof. Ibnu Qizam.
The Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, Dr. Sofyan Rizal, M.Si., added that the presence of this world-class speaker provides significant added value to the research environment within the graduate school, particularly in encouraging the production of internationally renowned scientific publications by master’s and doctoral students.
During the presentation session, Mr. Hakan Aslan, Ph.D., shared in-depth insights, as well as the latest research findings and trends related to contemporary issues in the global Islamic economy and banking. The participants’ enthusiasm was evident through a variety of critical questions and interactive discussions led by Dr. H. Ahmad Dumyathi Bashori, M.A., who served as the moderator.

The event concluded with the symbolic presentation of commemorative plaques and certificates to the speakers, followed by a group photo with all the administrators, faculty members, and graduate students of the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta. (AC)
