BOGOR, May 31, 2026 – The Student Association of the Islamic Economics Study Program (HMPS) at the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta successfully conducted a benchmarking visit to the Professional Student Association (Estudents) of Islamic Economics at the Faculty of Economics and Management (FEM) of IPB University, Bogor, on Sunday, May 31, 2026.
The UIN Jakarta delegation was led by the Chair of the FEB UIN Jakarta Islamic Economics HMPS, Farhan Hamid, and accompanied by Dr. Ady Cahyadi, SE., M.SI., CRMP, a lecturer in the FEB UIN Jakarta Islamic Economics Program. The delegation was warmly welcomed by the Chair of the FEM IPB Islamic Economics Student Association, Muhammad Naufal Mirza, along with the association’s executive board.

The main activities consisted of interactive discussion sessions and brainstorming sessions (scoping forums) focused on two major agendas: contributing ideas to the development of the Islamic economy in Indonesia and strategies for strengthening the governance of student organizations (HMPS). Both parties shared their flagship programs and organizational challenges, and formulated strategic collaborations to promote Islamic finance among the younger generation.
Farhan Hamid, Chair of the Sharia Economics HMPS at the Faculty of Economics and Business, UIN Jakarta, emphasized that this momentum holds significant strategic value for students at the national level.

“This event was organized to broaden perspectives and expand networking opportunities among students on a national level. We hope this collaboration will serve as a catalyst for continuing to develop and strengthen Islamic economic literacy, particularly among students as agents of change,” said Farhan.
This productive meeting concluded with a shared commitment to support one another in various future academic and community service initiatives. The entire event series then wrapped up with a group photo session on the front lawn of the IPB University Rectorate Building in Bogor, symbolizing the strong synergy between the two institutions.
