Training of Trainers for Student Community Empowerment Facilitators
On August 9, 2023, the Social Trust Fund (STF) collaborated with the Educational Laboratory Pranata (PLP) of the Faculty of Economics and Business at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta to hold a Training of Trainers (ToT) aimed at equipping student facilitators for community empowerment programs. The event took place from 13:00 to 17:00 WIB in the theater room on the 5th floor of the Faculty of Economics and Business at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta. The event was attended by Dr. Asyari Hasan S.H.I, M.Ag., as the Vice Dean III for Student Affairs, Alumni, and Cooperation, and Prof. Amelia Fauzia, Ph.D., as the Director of the Social Trust Fund. In this meeting, the discussion centered around how a trainer can empower small and medium-sized enterprise (UMKM) actors to enhance their businesses. The materials presented to the participants were delivered directly by faculty members from various departments at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, namely Sri Hidayati, S.Ag., M.Ed, Cut Erika Ananda Fatimah, S.E., M.B.A., Dwi Nur’aini Ihsan. SE. MM. IFP. QWP, and Kasyfiyullah M.Si. Sri Hidayati, S.Ag., M.Ed., as the first speaker, presented material on 'Women's Economic Productivity Enhancement.' Currently, recognition of women's contributions in various aspects, including the economy, is still very low. Therefore, there is a need to enhance women's economic productivity to increase their contribution and participation in economic development and development in various other sectors of life. Next, the second speaker, Cut Erika Ananda Fatimah, S.E., M.B.A., discussed 'Digital Marketing.'
According to various data presented, the growth rate of internet usage in Indonesia is currently at its peak and is increasing, especially since the Covid-19 pandemic. This, of course, presents an opportunity for businesses to expand their product marketing networks. The third presentation was delivered by Dwi Nur’aini Ihsan, S.E., M.M., IFP, on 'Micro and Small Business Financial Management.' Dwi Nur’aini stated, "Ultra-micro business finances must be well organized in order to obtain accurate data on income, profits, losses, etc." Trainers must be able to explain the purpose of business financial management well, such as avoiding losses and bankruptcy, knowing how to record incoming and outgoing funds, determining the right selling price, and so on. The ToT event concluded with the fourth session presented by Kasyfiyullah M. Si, discussing 'Product Visualization.' Product visualization is crucial as the human brain has a high visual capability. Product visualization should be made as appealing as possible to please the eye. The event concluded with Ms. Sri providing information that there will be follow-up activities from today's session, and it is hoped that attending students will be able to participate until the end. This activity is also expected to be a positive and continuous step towards assisting UMKM communities in developing their businesses.
