Understanding the Role of Tax Consultants and Auditors through Get to Know Tax & Audit Professions with the UIN Jakarta Tax Center
On Tuesday, May 26, 2026, the UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta Tax Center once again presented an educational discussion forum through the Get to Know Tax & Audit Professions webinar. This activity was designed to broaden students' and the public's understanding of the important role of tax consultants and auditors amidst the transformation of Indonesia's digital tax system.
With the theme "The Role of Tax Consultants and Auditors in Taxpayer Education in the Era of Digital Tax Governance," this webinar represents the UIN Jakarta Tax Center's concrete contribution to improving tax literacy and introducing professions in the tax and audit fields, which are increasingly needed in the digital age.
With the advancement of technology, Indonesia's tax administration system continues to transform toward digital-based tax governance. This transformation undoubtedly brings many conveniences, from service efficiency to tax system transparency. However, the ever-evolving changes in tax regulations and mechanisms also present challenges for the public in understanding and adapting to the new system.

Given these conditions, tax consultants and auditors have emerged as professions with a strategic role in helping taxpayers understand their tax rights and obligations. Beyond administrative assistance, these two professions also serve as educational platforms for the public in understanding tax regulations, improving tax compliance, and ensuring transparency and accountability in financial reporting.
Through this webinar, participants were invited to gain a deeper understanding of the development of digital tax governance, the challenges of tax education in the era of digital transformation, and strategies that tax consultants and auditors can implement to improve public tax literacy. The webinar also discussed the professional competencies and digital skills necessary for prospective practitioners in the fields of taxation and auditing today.
This event was presented interactively through a discussion session with two professional speakers from Attax Indonesia, moderated by a moderator, and facilitated a question-and-answer session with participants. With a communicative atmosphere and relevance to the current state of the tax world, this webinar is expected to provide a more comprehensive understanding and serve as an open learning space for students and the general public.

Vice Dean III of the Faculty of Economics and Business, UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, Dr. Asyari Hasan, M.Ag., CM., also expressed his full support for this webinar as part of efforts to strengthen tax education among students and the public. In addition to serving as an educational platform, this activity is also expected to broaden the career horizons of students and the public in the fields of taxation and auditing. By presenting experienced practitioners in their fields, participants gain not only theoretical understanding but also a concrete picture of the challenges, opportunities, and competencies required for a career in taxation and auditing in the digital age.
Through this Get to Know Tax & Audit Professions webinar, the UIN Jakarta Tax Center hopes to continue serving as a collaborative and educational space that encourages increased public tax literacy while simultaneously producing a young generation that is adaptive, professional, and prepared to face future developments in tax governance.
