Jakarta, February 12, 2026. The Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta held a Tarhib Ramadan event as a form of spiritual preparation to welcome the holy month of Ramadan. The event took place solemnly in the Flat Theater Room, 5th Floor of the FEB Building, Jalan Ibnu Sina.
The event was officially opened by the Dean of FEB UIN Jakarta, Prof. Dr. Ibnu Qizam, M.Si. In his speech, he emphasized the importance of maintaining harmony and work ethic on campus during the fasting month. The event was attended by the leadership, lecturers, and the entire FEB academic community, who filled the room with great enthusiasm.
Ramadan as a Means of Tazkiyatun Nafs
The highlight of the event was a profound taushiyah delivered by Ust. Prof. Dr. Desmadi Saharudin, Lc. He thoroughly discussed the theme of Ramadan as a means of Tazkiyatun Nafs (purification of the soul).
In his lecture, Prof. Desmadi explained that:
Ramadan is not just about refraining from food and drink, but also a process of detoxifying the heart from inner diseases.
The importance of practicing patience and sincerity in carrying out professional duties as part of worship.
Fasting should be a moment to return to the pure and pious nature of humanity.
Strengthening Bonds of Friendship
The Tarhib event concluded with a group photo session that captured the unity of the FEB UIN Jakarta family. As the closing event before the start of Ramadan, all attendees enjoyed lunch together, creating a warm and friendly atmosphere among the academic community.
“This activity is our annual tradition to cleanse our hearts and strengthen our intentions, so that when Ramadan arrives, we are all in prime mental and spiritual condition,” said Ade Ananto, one of the FEB lecturers.
With the implementation of Tarhib Ramadan, FEB UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta hopes that the entire academic community can carry out their fasting with blessings while continuing to provide the best educational services. (AC)
