Xplorer Team from FEB UIN Jakarta Secures 3rd Place at the BINUS National Accounting Tournament (BNAT) XV 2026
Tangerang, October 24, 2026 – The Xplorer team from the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta has secured 3rd place in the Accounting Case Competition at the BINUS National Accounting Tournament (BNAT) XV 2026. The team consists of Iqbal Fahrezi Hidayat (team leader), Ghaitsa Rahman Karim, and Muhammad Rafly Akbar—all of whom are Accounting students from the class of 2024.
The competition was organized by the Accounting Student Association (HIMA) of BINUS University under the theme “AccuRisk: Accounting and Risk Mitigation in Economic Uncertainty.” The final round took place in person at the BINUS @Alam Sutera campus on October 24, 2026. Open to high school/vocational school students and undergraduate (D3/D4/S1) students from across Indonesia, the event challenged participants’ skills in accounting and financial analysis, critical thinking, strategic planning, and risk management amidst economic uncertainty.

The competition unfolded in three stages. In the preliminary round, participants were tasked with drafting an executive summary based on a corporate case study. The top 15 teams advanced to the semifinal round to develop a strategic innovation proposal, after which the top 6 teams qualified for the final round—a stage featuring case pitches and debates before a panel of judges.
The case study centered on "Cacao Coco," a company engaged in the cultivation and distribution of cocoa with operations in Indonesia, Brazil, Ghana, and Ecuador. Although the company remains profitable, it faces several challenges: cash flow pressure, rising accounts receivable, slow inventory turnover, the need for supply chain traceability in compliance with the European Union Deforestation Regulation (EUDR), climate-related risks, worker health risks (specifically Influenza A), and a decline in demand. To address these challenges, the Xplorer Team presented a proposal titled “CacaoXplorer Active Ecosystem: A Strategy for Developing a Sustainable Cocoa Supply Chain and Accelerating Circular Downstreaming.” This strategy rests on three pillars. *Active TraceXplorer* establishes end-to-end traceability—from the farm to the specific batch—using QR codes and GPS to ensure compliance with the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR). *CareXplorer Extended* safeguards the continuity of the workforce through the provision of "Flu Health Kits," health passports, and mobile clinics. *EcoXplorer Downstream* focuses on processing harvest byproducts, converting cocoa pulp into syrup via contract manufacturing (toll manufacturing) and transforming cocoa husks into bio-organic fertilizer. Investments are structured in three phased stages, triggered only when cash reserves meet specific criteria, ensuring the program does not strain the company’s liquidity.

This achievement highlights the consistency of students from the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) at UIN Jakarta in developing ideas that are analytical, realistic, and relevant to the needs of the business sector, while also aligning with efforts to support Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 8, 12, and 13.
The Vice Dean III of FEB UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta expressed appreciation for the accomplishments of Ghaitsa Rahman Karim, Iqbal Fahrezi Hidayat, and Muhammad Rafly Akbar.
“This achievement proves that FEB UIN Jakarta students are capable of competing at the national level. They demonstrate not only strong financial analytical skills but also a keen ability to assess business risks and formulate realistic sustainability strategies. We hope this success serves as motivation for other students to actively participate in competitions and produce impactful work. The Faculty remains committed to supporting student achievements through guidance, mentorship, and the cultivation of an academic culture that is both excellent and competitive,” he stated. (akt)
